MARINA officials met with Marino Partylist Representative Carlo “Sandro” Gonzales

 

The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) officials met with Marino Partylist Representative Carlo “Sandro” Gonzales yesterday, 04 December 2019, at the MARINA Central office.

The agency discussed to congressman the status of the maritime industry such as IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS), Ship Registry, Enforcement of Maritime Conventions, Ballast Water Management, Anti-Fouling Systems, MARPOL, Cape Town Agreement, OFW Bill, Magna Carta for Seafarers, and European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) updates.

For his part, Congressman Gonzalez reaffirms his full support in exploring ways to help the agency in lobbying all the necessary legislation depending on what the maritime sector needs. He also expressed his commitment in tightening up his close partnership with the agency.
