The MARINA Regional Office XI (MRO11), led by Regional Director Felisa N. Orongan, proudly announced its successful completion of an internal audit conducted from 19-20 July 2023, marking the region’s first face-to-face audit since the pandemic.
The audit team, which was led by Mr. Herbert Nalupa with Mr. Enrico Paolo Macalino, as member, displayed a meticulous approach to ensure the thoroughness and efficiency of the audit process.
Meanwhile, STCW Office personnel worked tirelessly to assure that the audit process proceeded seamlessly — working cohesively, while exemplifying the power of teamwork, in order to come up with a realistic and relevant audit findings.
MRO 11 has always considered the conduct of internal audit a significant exercise as it provided opportunities to assess and enhance its processes and services. The conclusion of the audit reaffirms it’s commitment to continuous improvement, maintaining the highest level of standards in providing its services to the maritime community in the region.
