MANILA CITY- The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) held a strategic planning workshop focused on harmonizing key plans for Fiscal Year 2025 from 02-04 September 2025.

The activity aimed to ensure the effective implementation of MARINA’s Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) for 2025, while also enhancing project and procurement planning and optimizing resource allocation.

In her address, MARINA Administrator Sonia Malaluan highlighted the importance of aligning these plans with Executive Order 55, which adopts the Ten-Year Maritime Industry Development Plan 2028, and other agency initiatives. “We bear significant responsibilities, and it is crucial that our plans are not only meticulously crafted but also seamlessly aligned and executed across our strategic posts,” she stated.

The event provided a platform for the presentation, discussion, and alignment of critical documents, including the Annual Plans and Budget (APB), Learning and Development Plan (LDP), Annual Procurement Plan (APP), Annual Regulatory Plan (ARP), MARINA Voyage Plan (MVP), and Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP).

Representatives from MARINA service units participated in the event and committed to the effective execution of all the initiatives to drive enhancements in the maritime sector.
