The Marina Region IV (MRO4), led by Engr. Rizal J. Victoria, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Puerto Princesa City, successfully conducted the Second Maritime Safety Culture Awareness Campaign Caravan held at the Brgy. Bagong Sikat Covered Court, Palawan on 04 December 2024.

The campaign, themed “Ligtas Biyaheng Dagat” aimed to promote maritime safety awareness and preparedness among coastal communities and stakeholders, brought together key representatives from various government agencies, including the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).

Through informative presentations, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations, the campaign highlighted the importance of adhering to maritime safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and responsible boating practices. By promoting a culture of safety, the event aims to reduce maritime accidents and safeguard lives at sea.

The event was also attended by numerous stakeholders from different sectors, underscoring the collective commitment to ensuring maritime safety in the region.
