Puerto Princesa City, Palawan – The MARINA Enforcement Service (ES), in collaboration with the MARINA Regional Office IV (MRO4), successfully conducted the Maritime Safety Culture Awareness Campaign Caravan, “Ligtas Byaheng Dagat,” at the VJR Hall, Provincial Capitol, Palawan.
This initiative aimed to enhance maritime safety and raise passenger awareness through consultative dialogues with key stakeholders.
Aligned with the MARINA Administrator’s 10-point agenda, which emphasizes safety and security in maritime transportation, the campaign focused on educating stakeholders and boat captains about the importance of complying with MARINA policies and fostering a safety-conscious culture to prevent maritime accidents.
Through lectures, the campaign sought to reduce marine incidents, heighten safety awareness, and promote a culture of safety aboard vessels.
The “Ligtas Byaheng Dagat” Campaign is a flagship program of the MARINA Enforcement Service, dedicated to monitoring and ensuring compliance among passenger vessels, motorbancas, cargo ships, and other watercraft in adherence to maritime regulations.
