In an effort to enhance maritime safety standards and regulatory compliance, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) in collaboration with the French Maritime Expert (FME) is set to conduct a Self-Assessment Survey and Training activity this May.

The primary objectives of this assessment activity include evaluating compliance with relevant maritime safety regulations and industry standards, identifying areas for improvement or corrective measures, promoting a safety-conscious culture, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to address common challenges.

All ROPAX and Passenger ship owners/operators are urged to actively participate in the Self-Assessment Survey. The survey can be accessed through the following link: https://forms.gle/nQB1xy2MnCi2j2N19. The deadline for responses is 30 June 2024

MARINA and FME will provide guidelines and self-assessment training sessions in Batangas and Cebu during the month of May. Invitations containing detailed information on the training courses will be sent out following the publication of this Advisory.

For further information on participation or contribution to the Self-Assessment Survey and Training activity, interested parties are encouraged to contact the Shipyards Regulation Service at 02 8525 7212 or via email at [email protected]

MARINA looks forward to the active involvement of shipping companies in this important initiative to ensure the highest levels of maritime safety and operational excellence.
