The MARINA Regional Office X (MARINA Cagayan de Oro), led by OIC-Regional Director Juliet S. Nacion, is set to hold the concluding activities of the Maritime Safety Culture Awareness Campaign Caravan (MSCACC) in the provinces of Camiguin and Misamis Occidental.

The MSCACC aims to enhance public understanding of maritime safety, emphasizing safety rules and regulations and educating passengers, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), about their rights in maritime transport. In addition, the campaign seeks to promote collaboration among stakeholders, including government agencies, maritime associations, and the maritime industry.

The final campaign stops will take place in Camiguin on 18 February 2025, followed by Misamis Occidental on 16 April 2025. These activities are part of the broader effort to instill a culture of maritime safety in the region, benefiting both local communities and the maritime sector.
