“It’s a big decision but now is the perfect moment for reflection and relaxation, as well as spending more quality time with your loved ones. It’s been a privilege working with you all, and now, it’s an honor helping you celebrate your retirement. Follow your dreams, long set aside and enjoy rewards of work well done,” Director Atienza said.

For his part, MARINA Administrator Vice Admiral Robert A Empedrad AFP (Ret) expressed his appreciation for the retirees by naming them one-by-one, delivering his message for all of them individually.

“You all became good and public servants. You have been very faithful in your job kaya kayo bibigyan ngayon ng honor ng ating Organization because of your excellent service,” Administrator Empedrad emphasized.

Administrator also said that the retirees, who will take their final bow in serving the country through the MARINA, will have their retirement as fruit of their labor and the conclusion of a lifetime of their daily working routine.

“We are all gathered here to show our love, gratitude, respect and honor to our colleagues who have become our friends, peers, and family. It is the time we have to thank them for all their sacrifices and good service for the country. It is a perfect chance for all of us to look back at their contributions and best practices so that we can learn from them. They’re the ones who have been here before us. As they take their final bow, we say ‘Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.’ Sana ay ipagpatuloy kayong i-bless ng ating Panginoon as you start your new careers as retired persons. In behalf of my personal family and the men and women of the MARINA, salamat at sana ay maligaya at maginhawa ang inyong pagreretiro,” Administrator Empedrad stated.
